Excellent article. My kids and I were there right up till the day the Gestapo broke it all up. My 3 kids (2 12 year olds and a 17 year old) had “police” that couldn’t speak English or French point guns in their faces for getting our luggage out of the hotel the police wouldn’t let me back into.
We passed two large UN planes on the way home which kind of explains why the “police” spoke neither of our two official languages!
